Iron oxide pigments are a class of inorganic pigments with iron oxides or hydroxides as the main components.
They feature stable chemical properties, such as resistance to fading after long-term exposure to ultraviolet rays and sunlight. Additionally, their color remains stable at high temperatures (typically above 150°C), and they show strong tolerance to weak acids, weak alkalis, and water.
Iron oxide pigments are non-toxic and non-radioactive, making them applicable for food-contact packaging materials.
